Once back in Hirall, Adaly quickly spots a black tiefling. She goes invisible, informs the others that she is following a tiefling, and quickly is next to them. She manages to collect the blood of the female black tiefling, before she sees a ambush forming around her allies. They are surrounded by 6 black tieflings. Their leader, wielding a large falchion speaks up “Adaly, we know you are here. Reveal yourself and we can have a conversation. Otherwise, your friends will die.”

Adaly laughs while climbing one of the buildings “How dumb do you think I am?” Adaly says and Amara rushes forward to attack the leader. One by one the tieflings get defeated. But instead of dying they disappear in blue smoke. One tiefling remains, but he starts running away.

An invisible Adaly follows him through the street, trying to figure out where he is going. Once he slows down, Adaly stabs him and collects his blood with a blood vial. With the amount of distance between her and the rest of the party weighing on her, she decides it is too risky to follow him further and returns to her party.

The party meets up and goes to a random church with a stable. “Sorry to come into your holy place, but there is an attack by demons going on, could we lay low here for a bit?” Adaly asks. The cleric lets them in, “The wyverns do not enter” “Can we put them in the stable?” Adaly asks and the cleric nods before letting them enter. Adaly whispers to Amara, “Keep them occupied”, while she pretends to go to pray. During that time, she cast devils’ eyes and spies on the 2 new blood vials she collected. From the first person it fails, but second person, the male who survived, the spell finds connection.

She sees him walking through the town, before entering a room in an inn. Maybe like a safe house for them, but this guy is the first. A bit later the female leader comes in “That was a disaster. How do you feel Valziar?” “I got out, so I am fine. How are you, Tafrica?” “I’m fine” she says frustratingly while sitting down. The character Valziar comments “The boss is not going to be happy about this” “I know, but we are the Ebony guard, we will find a way” Tafrica answers and the vision ends.

Adaly looks around in the church, Amara has been keeping the rest a bit at a distance. Now Amara sees Adaly is done they approach. The cleric has left them alone and Sam whispers “one of them send me a message before poofing. Two hours north of Ingry there is a mansion. Be there at noon tomorrow and you may find that you have more allies than you thought.” Adaly thinks about this while Amara immediately replies “That sounds like a trap” “Maybe, but maybe not. I just had a vision about the one that got away and their leader. They are regrouping, but it sounds like they honestly felt defeated. I don’t want to go myself, we need to get to Grishbalan. However maybe we could ask Jeremy?” Adaly says while the paladins look at her. Sam reacts “Yeah that could be smart. What do we do in the meantime?” this time Amara jumps in “To Vasovik, my contact about Grishbalan lives there.” Adaly nods and paladins agree, so Adaly starts sending a message to Jeremy.

Jeremy, possible allies in mansion 2 hours north of Ingry. Want to meet tomorrow at noon, but we can’t. Please check it out, love Adaly’ and within few seconds she gets back ‘acknowledge, on other news human monk named Heralan had stayed at the temple to Arilana in Loutiers, but left the city

“Okay great, let’s go” Adaly says, “Did Jeremy have anything to say?” Livia hesitantly asks. “He got first lead on Heralan, but nothing major yet. And he will go to the meeting for us” Adaly answers while walking out “He will be fine” Sam whispers to Livia who is clearly worried.

They walk as subtly as they can to the teleportation hall, which is hard since they are travelling with wyverns, but Adaly feels no ping on the bloodvials, meaning the tieflings are nowhere near. They teleport to Vasovik and walk to the archeologist guild, where Heskeni, Amara’s friend lives.

At the archeologist guild the party is stopped by a young dwarf who annoyed says “You guys really need to stop bothering Heskeni, she is not going to pay or leave. Now leave us alone” Amara steps forward “Not sure what that is about but we are friends of Heskeni, we have met in Orodon for a mission, and I would like to ask a favor of her” The young dwarf looks Amara and the rest of the party over “Fine, but know if you harm her in here there is hell to pay… She is in her study” and continues to give instructions to get there.

The party walks to the room and finds a halfling in a messy room studying an artifact. “Hello Heskeni” Amara says, but the halfling barely acknowledges her. Adaly walks forward, looks at the artifact “That look interesting… Hello Heskeni, I am Adaly, a friend of Amara” this time Heskeni looks up “Yeah it is a prehistoric Ioun stone. One made by the Grishbalan people. They have more of these interesting artifacts and magic.” Adaly smiles “Good… we are looking for someone with Grishbalan knowledge for an exploration” Heskeni excitedly looks at Amara “You came back on my offer, great! There is so much value there.”

This time Amara laughs “What kind of value, the monetary kind or the other kind” “Knowledge is more valuable than anything else” “Figures” Amara rolls her eyes and Adaly looks a bit surprised at her friend and their new ally. “Is that what happened with the people who want to harm you?” Adaly asks. Heskeni looks a bit annoyed “Well I told them that there would be immeasurable wealth in an ancient ruin. Which was true. I just meant they were going to find books, old artifacts, information. They didn’t seem to understand how much that is worth” Amara chuckles and Adaly smiles. “Well, we are after knowledge, specifically knowledge that will be at the great library of Grishbalan.” Heskeni jumps up and quickly starts packing a bag. “Great, lets go….”

Adaly chuckles “We first have to go shopping for a bit, when we get back, we shall go” Heskeni clearly disagrees, but nods in agreement. “We will be back soon” Amara says while they leave.
