While the entire party is coming together at the breakfast table Adaly gently wakes Heskeni “Darling you should sleep more and get some food” Heskeni awakens and immediately is her hyper self “Later, for now I should tell you what me and Amadeus discovered. We can expand the magic of your amulet, making you invisible or more accurate undetectable for the skeletons.”

Amara responds “Okay, to which purpose?” Heskeni immediately shifts her hyper focus to Amara “Well you were talking about helping Amadeus right? So, this will help you guys, because than you can walk around here without the skeletons knowing, and then you can get into the forbidden locations, and you know that will help…”

Adaly rolls her eyes and looks at Amara. They let Heskeni blab a bit before Adaly asks “Okay so few things. Firstly, we still need the key, so Amadeus still has work to do. Secondly how far does this go? If we by accident bump into them is the whole plan destroyed?” Heskeni considers “Amadeus is trying to get the key as we speak, so I expect that is fine. In theory they should not be able to detect you, even if you touch them.” “Could we tickle them?” Amara asks and Heskeni seriously react “Yes, they should be immune to that. They don’t have senses like we do. They detect what they are supposed to feel, but if a person that is hidden from them does it, they shouldn’t feel anything.” Adaly smiles “Great, let’s try it later, we shall first continue our research, and you Heskeni should sleep”

Heskeni starts objecting but Adaly easily picks her up and brings her to bed. The paladins nod in approval while they continue their investigations.

During lunch Amadeus shows up with 2 keys, one of them actually looking like a key. A big brass key which opens the door to the vaults, and then he also has a tear shaped ceramic disk which opens the specific vault which contains Amadeus his wand, which he would like returned.

They still finish their investigations for the day before the entire party, including Heskeni and Amadeus meet up in Adaly’s bedroom.

“Livia, could you maybe stay behind?” Adaly asks the weird elf, Livia looks at her in surprise “Why? We do this as a group” Adaly sights “If we fuck up somewhere and they come to check on us, and they find Heskeni and Amadeus casting this spell… That will not end well for us. Just want to ask you to stay here, and if the skeletons come to check, just say we are sleeping but you can give us the message” Adaly explains, and Livia nods in agreement.

Adaly gives her necklace to Heskeni, while Amadeus still gives them instructions about the vaults.

Heskeni and Amadeus focus on each other and start chanting. Adaly takes the amulet and hopes it works. “Let’s first try on one of the skeletons before going down.” Amara comments and Adaly nods “I also prefer to be actually invisible so let me make us invisible” and Adaly casts her spell while they walk out of the chamber.

In the hallway are a few skeletons in red robes, probably extra security because of the hound attack. Amara goes up to one of them and pokes their eye socket. No reaction at all, the party decides that it is safe enough to indeed go to the vault.

The door to the vault is locked but no skeletons are nearby. Adaly grabs the brass key and opens the door as quiet as she can. The door squeaks, clearly not having been opened in a while. But there are no reactions. They can see a long winding staircase. They walk down to the vault area to be met with 2 skeletons just monitoring the entrance. They don’t shift or give any indication that they see the party arriving.

The room is filled with large square pillars, each of the pillars containing multiple individual safes. In the center of the room is a large stream of strange blue water separating the vaults into 2. Based on Amadeus his description they will need to pass through the water.

The party slowly makes their way into the room, noticing slits on the floor and some traps. The party try to map where everything is, so if they need to make a quick exit they know which paths to avoid.

They come to the water and manages to jump across while still mapping the strange slits and traps. Also on this side are a few skeletal guards in red robes keeping patrol. Amara spots Amadeus his safe relatively fast. Adaly starts inspecting the safe, and she can hear something shuffling inside. Adaly whispers, “Are we ready” and both Amara and Sam very quietly say “Yes”. Adaly swallows and inserts the ceramic disk.

The door pops open and immediately a creature jumps Adaly, she manages to jump to the side avoiding its attacks, but now the party also hear cracking and creeks while they see where the slits resided in the floor, now walls are coming up. Adaly grabs the wand and a pouch with some crowns, while Amara grabs the key, while they start running.

Amara and Adaly both easily jump the upcoming wall, while Sams is a bit slower. Adaly goes to check the new hallway for incoming guards, but the guards run in a different direction, while Amara pulls Sam to their side just in time.

The party runs in the newly formed maze, while the creature still follows them. The creature gets a few hits in, but with the party’s speed, they quickly reach the water. However it is no longer water, it transformed into a giant wall of blue fire.

Adaly swallows but Sam jumps first. They hear him crash, while Adaly and Amara follow and continue running, still being pursuit by the monster from the vault. Both Adaly and Amara notice that Sam is no longer following, which will mean he will soon be outside of the cloaking spell, because Adaly is too far away from him, so both Amara and Adaly decide to turn back.

Amara turns the corner first and Adaly can hear the monster dying and Amara saying “What the fuck is up with you Sam?” when Adaly turns the corner she just sees black flames disappearing from Sam, both of her allies now visible “Fuck, I can’t keep turning us invisible, both of you do not attack anything anymore” Adaly says while casting them invisible once more.

The front room of the vault is less dangerous they quickly find their way back to their chambers.
