In Ingry Adaly sits down in their room at the inn when trying to spy on her normal targets. She connects with Es-Grenalieth, but the devil sits somewhere with her eyes closed so Adaly cannot tell what she is doing. Adaly tries to switch to her brother who resists, but than she tries Yigadel, and from the tieflings eyes she sees Valziar.
They sit in a large chamber in an inn, but not just the two of them, the entirety of the ebony guard as Adaly has met them is sitting with them. Tafrica speaking “So he was not happy, but the boss agreed to help with the preparations for a next encounter, which will help us the next time we see them. Now do you know where they are?” The female tieflings asks, while Yigadel answers “They traveled to Suzal, but were only there briefly. We don’t know where they went next but shall find out soon” Tafrica nods in approval “Sedavieth, could you scan once more if we are being spied upon?” one of the male tieflings nods, and Adaly ends the spell rapidly.
“They knew we were in Suzal, they are probably tracking our teleportation’s…” Adaly says and Amara immediately comments “Let me go and fix that” Adaly nods in approval, while she tries Es-Grenalieth once more, but the devil is still having her eyes closed.
The next morning they are eating breakfast when Adaly gets a message from Jeremy ‘Ostrich, Silver, Grapevine two, ugh. The beautiful, graceful, charming and intelligent woman keeping me captive wants you to know that I am unharmed.‘ Adaly is surprised and annoyed by the message but sends back. ‘That doesn’t sound unharmed, but thank you for the message. See you soon Jeremy, we’ll get you out.‘
At the breakfast table Adaly says “Jeremy send some weird code, Ostrich, Silver and Grapevine 2” Sam smiles “Good, he has seen 2 enemies, but thinks there are more. He is restraint, but thinks he can get out of those himself. It would still be good if we save him. What is the plan?”
Adaly rubs her head “I go alone.” Amara immediately begins to object, but Adaly laughs “I am not dumb, I know it is a trap. My plan would be to turn the three of you invisible. I leave the city alone… I suspect something will follow me, to make sure I am alone. Then you follow whatever follows me. The invisibility will only last 1 hour and it is a 2 hour trip, so keep a bit of distance to whatever follows me.”
Sam nods in approval, but Amara still react “That still means that you will be going in alone” Adaly nods and smiles “Indeed, depending on who this is, that is fine, I can manage. You guys go and find Jeremy. If I need support I have the sending stone. I will let you know” Amara seems to not like it but nods in agreement. Adaly turns them invisible a bit before 10, before she starts leaving the city and walking to the north. She can feel a small heartbeat following her at about a 100 feet distance.
A few minutes before noon she arrives at the mansion. Two guards and a young bald nobleman are waiting for her “Welcome Adaly, please follow me” Adaly smiles kindly at them “Thank you, I do feel like I need to inform you that I am being followed by an imp.” The nobleman laughs “Yes that was ours, just making sure you indeed are alone. You seem to have followed our instructions.” Adaly smiles while stepping closer, following the man who guides her in “Of course, I am not a savage. I can protect myself” she smiles wickedly.
Once properly inside Adaly feels one of her blood vials giving her a ping. Es-Grenalieth is within a 100 feet, fuck. Adaly quickly shifts her bracelet to the other hand while having the pearl in quick reach. Just in case she has to teleport out.
She also subtly grabs the sending stone to Amara ‘It is Es-Grenalieth, do not follow me, I will get out myself, find Jeremy. Two guards at gate, and some noblemen inside. Stay safe’ Amara quickly replies ‘Well fuck. We will do our best, you stay safe and good luck’
Adaly and the bald man arrive at the first floor, where a pretty other nobleman awaits them. She recognizes him from her visions with Es-Grenalieth, this is the one Es-Grenalieth was fucking before. Adaly preps her dagger for stealing his blood, when they enter the room and Adaly sees the beautiful elven looking woman in front of her that she knows is Es-Grenalieth. Adaly bumps into the man and takes his blood before entering.
“Es-Grenalieth, good to see you… What brings you to the prime-material?” Es-Grenalieth smiles widely her orange eyes even more glowing. “Josenno leave us alone.”
The human man steps out and closes the door and mist starts filling the room. Adaly suddenly stops hearing the heartbeat of the man that she knows is close by. She assumes Es-Grenalieth did something to stop communication or ability to spy between this room and the outside world.
Adaly feels nervous, but still goes to sit nonchalantly across from the devil. “Adaly I have invited you here because I wanted us to have a conversation, I didn’t appreciate the minion but good that you are here now.” Es-Grenalieth says while Adaly objects “I am a busy person Es-Grenalieth, I just was on the other side of the world. Now I don’t appreciate my ally being held” Adaly says strongly.
Es-Grenalieth laughs “Oh well, we all have our flaws. Now I invited you here because I know you got the offer, so I wanted to reveal my true self to you”. Es-Grenalieth’s shape starts to shift, revealing a female black tiefling, with massive horns, but still the same shape and eyes as Es-Grenalieth has. “You… You are a black tiefling?” Adaly stutters.
The devil laughs once more “Oh darling I haven’t been in over a hundred year. But I am his daughter as well as you are, so… nice to see you sister.” Adaly just observes, before Es-Grenalieth continues “Now the past dozen years Ilhoketh has been collecting rare and valuable prisoners, he is preparing some kind of ritual. Then Es-Ihiroketh gets summoned back and suddenly you start jumping all over the place, when it clicked. He offered you to become one of his generals, empowering you with the same power as he has done for me years ago. And you sweet little sister accepted.”
Adaly thinks for a second about this “And what if he did? How does this concern you” Es-Grenalieth laughs once more, a beautiful melodic laugh “Oh my sweet little sister, I want to protect you…. See Ilhoketh has put in a failsafe to be able to control his freshly created devil” Es-Grenalieth seems to grab something around her throat, and suddenly a magic collar becomes visible.
“Now I have found a way around his control, and would like to share this with you” Es-Grenalieth says while opening the collar and removing it, before putting it back a second later. Adaly narrows her eyes “And what is in this for you?” Es-Grenalieth has a wicked smile on her face “The ritual weakens him… Together we can kill him.”
Adaly chuckles “Such a nice story. How do I know you are telling the truth”. Es-Grenalieth grabs a box “The details of the ritual and the loophole are in there, plus a little gift for your half orc friend. She can become even more powerful. That might also be in our best interest.”
Adaly considers it, before taking the box “What is the timeline for this?” This time Es-Grenalieth narrows her eyes “I expect he will be weak around the 11th. But for the details on that you will know better. He might not inform me when he goes to do the transformation. Give me your hand, I will give you the means of contacting me”
Adaly pulls her hand back, Es-Grenalieth gives her a threatening look, indicating that she can easily be forced, before Adaly gives her hand. A small tearshaped tattoo appears on her hand “It is a one time thing, so be sure to save it for that moment.” And Adaly nods before laughing “I am not saying I got any offer, but we did have the plan to strike on the 11th. So, I guess we are aligned sister…”
Es-Grenalieth gives a look of interest but doesn’t comment yet, before Adaly says “Now I would like my ally back.” Adaly says while standing up, grabbing the box and putting it in her bag of holding. Es-Grenalieth turns back to her elven shape, waves her hand and the mist disappears “Josenno take Adaly to our prisoner. They are free to leave.”
Josenno enters once more and leads Adaly away “We shall see each other soon” Adaly says as parting words and Es-Grenalieth just nods.
While they walk outside they hear some fighting in the nearby churchlike building. “What the fuck?” Josenno says while rushing in that direction. Adaly quickly follows “That might be my allies” and rushes past Josenno into the building. “Stop…” Adaly yells when she sees her party fighting a woman inside the church. The party look at her and they stop fighting for a second, but the woman still seems to want to fight “It is okay Jasmin, they are free to go”
The woman looks annoyed but stands down, before the rest of the party goes to Adaly and all of them leave the premise.
