Amara and the paladins start helping the preparations for a feast, while Adaly sits a bit away and starts casting her devil’s eyes, her blood magic on Yigadel. Her sister sitting in a room filled with the Ebony guard members, Tafrica holding Adaly’s letter, Valziar is also there alive, but missing his left eye, and a big chunk of skin. The skin replaced with grey smoke that curdles and wafts in place.

Valziar speaks up “We are in over our heads, we need to tell the boss to ask for way more help, or…” Tafrica shakes her head “We are not abandoning the task” Peranon jumps up “I will not leave this place until that fucking half-orc pays for what she has done”

Tafrica looks at Peranon “I am sorry for your loss, but we all lost a sister… We need to be smart about this. Valziar is right, we are outclassed, we cannot face them like this again. Now we are a group, and we do this together, so who is in favor of staying and who wants to return. Valziar’s and Peranon’s opinion are noted. What do you say Sedavieth?” Tafrica folds the letter, and Sedavieth considers the options.

“I agree with Peranon, for the most part, we need to make them pay for Zalia’s death… But we are outclassed, so asking the boss for extra help sounds good.” Sedavieth puts a hand on Peranon’s shoulder, which the young tiefling seems to appreciate.

Tafrica nods in understanding and then looks at Yigadel, who is shaking her head “You are idiots, of course Valziar is right, we are out of our depts. Fucking the 5 have not been able to catch her and you guys think we can… Let’s just go back to the boss and deal with the consequences of our failure.”

Tafrica sighs “Okay so we go ask for help to the boss, Yigadel and Valziar you will join me. Peranon and Sedavieth you can stay, keep an eye on Adaly and her friends, but do NOT attack them. I understand why you want to Peranon, I really do, but we need to thread with care.” Everybody nods in agreement, but Adaly’s vision gets a bit weird, as if she is rolling her eyes. That probably means Yigadel rolled her eyes at that conclusion.

Nothing else is discussed and the ebony guard seem to pack their stuff, so Adaly switches to Es-Vahelieth. The devil she met earlier called Mezearan is present again “My lord, the majority of the forces have been withdrawn, maybe you should join them…. This location was never meant to hold us long term.” Es-Vahelieth waves the comments away and looks around the room, clearly being prepared for something.

“You should know your place boy, my mission has not succeeded, so I am staying. Now you better find Adaly at all cost. Do not rely on just the fires, she and her allies will be more cautious around those now.” Mezearan nods and bows and leaves Es-Vahelieth alone when he sits down and uses senses that Adaly cannot relate to.

Adaly comes to her senses again and sees the feast has fully started. Adaly keeps a bit of a distance, especially stays away from the big bonfire, but she can see her friend Amara enjoying herself that makes her happy.

The paladins are also sitting a bit separated from the rest, just discussing between the two of them. Adaly observes them, their relationship is different as her’s and Amara’s but she can see clear comradery between them. They seem too notice her watching them, and Livia waves her to indicate to come closer. Adaly does so but stays in the shadow of the tree.

“Adaly come eat…” Livia says happily, Adaly kindly smiles back “I rather stay out of sight of the flames, just in case…” Sam immediately nods in understanding and Livia looks worried at her “You should…” but Sam stops her “She should do what she wants, Livia” Adaly gives him a look of appreciation.

Adaly looks at Livia “If you are okay with it Livia I would like to have a talk, maybe you can already walk me to our sleeping quarters, let Sam and Amara enjoy the festivities a bit more” Livia nods and gets up. She can see Sam wanting to protest, but lets the ladies go.

Adaly grabs Livia by the arm, in a way she has seen couples doing. “So how are you enjoying this new location?” Adaly asks and Livia looks a bit around “It is beautiful, but I rather be in cities. I do enjoy the company though” Adaly kindly smiles while she walks into the small cabin given to them.

“I… I know I promised I wouldn’t ask anymore, and I won’t…. But I just wanted to point out that once we finish our training we will be able to see what you are. So… I just wanted to let you know, you still have a few days, but I think it is better if you tell us.” Adaly says while holding Livia’s hands.

Livia seems to consider it “I will consider it…. I rather not talk about it at this moment, but you have a good point. I would rather tell you, than you find out by accident.” Adaly nods with the most understanding face she can fake. She gently touches Livia’s arm in a flirting way “I do care about you Livia… I have no ill intentions.” She lies through her teeth. Livia smiles sadly back, but keeps quiet.

Adaly pulls back a bit “I will try to make a amulet, you go enjoy the festivities. Thank you for hearing me out.” Livia nods and stands up “Thank you for giving me the heads up…. I will truly think about it.” And leaves.

Adaly rolls her eyes, the strange lady needs way more persuading than she ever expected, seeing her naivety. Adaly grabs all materials for creating an amulet and finally is able to do so before sleep finds her.
