“Anita your eyes look weird… they’re green?” Her lover says after the other two left. They are sitting on the couch, while she nervously chuckles “Are they? That is weird… Maybe it is just a flicker of the light? Maybe you just want to see that because we had such fun talking about forest witches?”
He pulls her closer into a hug. “I am so lucky to have a girlfriend who wants to do this with me.” She brings her arms around him and slowly kisses him, exhilarated by the first human touches in so many years. Their bodies intertwine, giving her such pleasure. The body she inhabits is a bit smaller and heavier than she’s used to, but after centuries, even if this were her own body, she would need a bit more time to get used to it once more.
“We shouldn’t.” He stops and that surprises her. She gets off him and gives him a sad look. “What’s wrong?” she asks and he chuckles. “We were waiting, remember? Just 3 more months before we get married. I should take you home, before we do anything dumb.”
She swallows and is a bit surprised to hear people still save themselves before marriage. So many young couples had sex under her tree, and she is pretty sure most of those couples weren’t married.
She stands up and follows him to a machine she has seen before, it is like a carriage but without horses. He opens the door for her, and she goes to sit down. He walks around the vehicle and goes to sit next to her. He attaches some kind of belt and looks at her with a smile
“You should also put on your seatbelt. I know your parents do not care about this, but I prefer you stay alive.” She smiles back and looks at the mechanism.
She pulls it over her body as she saw him do and tries to find the locking place but fails. He chuckles, takes the belt from her and attaches it before he starts the vehicle.
They drive for about half an hour before they reach a massive home, he stops the vehicle in the driveway and gives her a kiss on the cheek. “See you tomorrow.” Teddy says, and she nods and removes the belt, and gets out of the vehicle. She waves him goodbye while the vehicle takes off.
The body she took over must be royalty with a house like this. She walks to the door and tries to open it, but it is locked. She swallows. It must look weird if she cannot get into her own house. She starts searching her bag when a woman opens the door.
The woman looks like her, though she is a bit younger “Forgot your key again?” She asks, and Theodora feels a blush coming up
“Yeah… Annoying when that happens, right?” She walks in, and the inside of the house looks even more wealthy. A chandelier in the hallway that emits light without candles, large stairs covered in fancy rugs.
“Mom and dad already left for the evening, so what do you want to do for dinner?” The girl she assumes is her sister asks while walking further into the house. Theodora follows, convincing these people that nothing is going on, is going to be challenging.
“Um, I am not that hungry. Snacked a bit too much. So, whatever you want is fine.” Theodora says as they walk through a massive dining room before they get into a smaller, cozier area. Theodora was never poor herself, but this kind of luxury… this is something new. Something she could get used to.
“I will order some pizza.” Her sister says and Theodora nods, but leaves the room.
She walks up the stairs, enters the first room and sees a large bathing area. She touches the marble, while she reaches for the dice in her pocket with her other hand.
