After a few minutes Livia returns with food for the three of them, but sees Sam is unconscious just shares it with Adaly. Adaly takes a few bites but quickly asks “Could you watch him for 10 minutes, than I can check on my aunties and uncles and siblings and what not.” Livia nods in agreement and Adaly goes to sit in the shade of the tree.
Sadly her family all resists her spell, but she manages to connect to Josenno who is convincing a young woman to join their cause and become a warlock. Not that interested Adaly goes back to herself, ending the spell too observe Livia and Sam.
Livia woke Sam up forcing him to eat something, she can see he is completely exhausted and will not recover in a day. Adaly is thinking about leaving him behind when Amara joins the party. “So ready to go?” Adaly nods and the party collects their wyverns and teleport to the camp just outside of Suzal they have set up.
Heskeni immediately rushes towards the party, and Jeremy looks concerned at Sam. The three paladins go into a tent, taking care of Sam.
“So how is it going, anymore cool stuff?” Heskeni asks and Adaly smiles “Actually yes… we have a few things we would like you to take a look at. But first we have a gift, a dinosaur egg.” Adaly removes the egg from the seat on Glimmer and gives it to Heskeni.
Heskeni seems entertained for about 5 seconds, but that is enough for Jeremy and Livia to have returned. Adaly grabs the stuff that Amara took from Zalia but keeps holding it “Now Heskeni, we are not sure what it does, so please do NOT touch while identifying.” Heskeni nods but immediately goes to grab the items. Adaly lifts them out of reach “Let’s first try the not touching with this.” Amara says while taking out a single gauntlet.
The halfling skeleton immediately grabs the gauntlet and Adaly palms her head “That is touching” the halfling ignores her but casts the identify spell “This is called the hand of vengeance. It is a holy gauntlet of the deity Uladrem. I cannot see the full extend of the power, just that it is good at smashing buildings.” Amara nods and grabs the gauntlet, putting it on the one hand, while another one materializes around her other hand.
Adaly smiles at her friend “Okay next one, do NOT touch” Adaly takes out the ioun stone looking black sphere. Heskeni goes to grab it, but Adaly closes her hand “No Heskeni, no touching” Heskeni looks slightly disappointed but nods. Adaly opens her hand and Heskeni identifies the sphere. “This is an overcharged Ioun stone, would work like a fireball if you throw it.” Heskeni says, so Adaly carefully puts it away.
Adaly goes to sit a bit away from the campfire while Heskeni and Amara catch up, she focuses on making another amulet, and manages to succeed. By the time she finished, most have gone to sleep. Adaly enters the tent and looks at Sam, concerned for him she falls asleep next to him.
When she wakes up she sees a faint wisp of luminescent smoke coming off Sam’s body, a small hint of seeing his soul for the first time. She looks him over, he still looks bad, they really should leave him behind.
By the time Adaly comes out of the tent the rest of the camp is already awake, making breakfast, having early morning conversations. Adaly stays away from the fire but Jeremy walks up to her “Here is the stabilization gem, for the leviathan. You should know that the population near Timbre has become a reluctant to talk with strangers. It used to be a popular location near the beach, but there has been a bit of hostility.” Adaly nods in understanding and pockets the gem.
Adaly removes a rope from her bag of holding and hands it to Heskeni “I think it is smart that we give Sam a day off, he is in no shape to follow us, Heskeni watch him and protect him, but feel free to tie him up if that would be needed” Adaly says with a slightly wicked smile and Heskeni chuckles back. Adaly then continues “Jeremy, seeing as we are talking today about your kidnap situation and to your contact in Certevillia, would you like to join us today?” “Sure” Jeremy just replies.
“I need to go to my contact off the crime organization in Suzal, so I rather that Amara and I already leave, and Jeremy you just take your time packing, and we will meet you at the teleportation hall.” Adaly says and the party agrees, so Adaly walks into the woods. Just her and her friend, just like old times.
