After being properly cleaned they go to the royal library where they meet Guillemina. She is having a hood up, clearly trying to look inconspicuous. Adaly tries to keep a chuckle in, Guillemina looking way more suspicious with the hood up then otherwise.
“Hello Guillemina, good to finally meet you in person” Jeremy says while they go to sit next to her. She nods in acknowledgement and the party sits down. “Before I share any information, I insist you swear an oath to not kill any guards and that you will return the weapon after you are done with your mission.”
Adaly chuckles “I need a bit more information before I can promise anything” and Amara nods in agreement. Guillemina looks her over but keeps quiet, not continuing until they swear. Jeremy rolls his eyes and starts.
“I swear, by the good in this world and the lines I won’t cross, that I will do whatever is reasonably possible to prevent deaths during the theft of sinpiercer and to do whatever is reasonably possible to return the weapon to you as swiftly as possible after the 13th of Coldnight. I further swear that I have no intention of breaking the spirit of this oath by using any loopholes in its wording, nor do I foresee that intention changing.”
Livia nods in agreement and tries to recite the exact same oath but is off by a few words. Adaly rolls her eyes but she and Amara both say “Ditto”. Guillemina nods in thanks but clearly is doubting to continue.
She takes a few seconds before she says “Okay so the plan would be to steal sinpiercer just after it is sold. I have made sure that there is a hiccup in our teleportation blockage at that moment. I suggest you to not use it but that rouse will take attention away from any of the patrons present. I would suggest to hide the weapon in the courtyard and pick it up the next day.” Adaly grabs her notebook
“Could you draw a map of the auction location and tell us about all the protections you have in place? You just mentioned a teleportation blockage, but what else?” Guillemina takes the notebook and draws out the hallway, the vault and the courtyard, there is one massive tree in the courtyard, that will help them.
“Now all items will lay in the vault before the auction, and specifically sinpiercer will also be returned to the vault after it. It has the highest security, impossible to get in. After sinpiercer is auctioned off it will be escorted back to the vault by 4 guard who will walk through the courtyard.”
“Perfect moment to strike…. Could we come and see it in person, before the auction?” Adaly asks and Guillemina answers “Of course, if you come in one of the coming mornings to Certevilla I will make sure I can give you a tour. Now for the protection there will be a check on all visitors for unauthorized items. The items we do not allow are extradimensional storage space and an item that cast spells. We have detections in place and those will trigger when someone uses one of the not allowed items, so please don’t try to smuggle anything like than in. Finally our detections will also trigger on cloaking spells, so you will be asked to remove them before going through the wards, but are allowed to recast/reattune after you have entered.”
Adaly grabs her necklace, the last time she took it off Es-Vahelieth got their scent “I understand the rules, but what if it is dangerous to take those cloaking spells off?” Adaly asks and Guillemina looks surprised at her “Well of course the room where all of this happens is cloaked itself, so protection from scrying and locate spells, so in theory nothing should trigger” Adaly nods, that should be sufficient.
Guillemina seems to think of something and continues “Oh, for the hiding I have this item, it creates a hole and allows sinpiercer to get hidden. It will not trigger our wards” She hands them a ring that Amara takes, Adaly just nods, while taking notes. “This is all very helpful information thank you… Do you have a list of invitees?”
Guillemina looks at Jeremy “Once we have confirmations I will share them with Jeremy. What are the names we shall register you under?” Adaly smiles “Octavius and Sirrelieth Belstrad, Baron and Baronness of Asmoria with their lover Rosemary and their guard…” Adaly gives Amara a chance to tell the name she would like to have “Elithanathile” Guillemina nods and writes down the names.
“Finally, I think you will want to teleport in on the eve of the auction, so I have drawn out the runes for the teleportation circle” Guillemina hands them a piece of paper and Adaly takes it, and puts it between her other teleportation circle notes “Thank you, we shall see you soon” Adaly says and stands up. The rest quickly follow her exciting the building.
