They get back to the crumbling temple and the guards are still there, but so is Damon. Adaly ignores the guards once more and goes to Damon. “Hey Damon, so what happened here is why we don’t have time to help you yet… This is the work of the other devil that we said we were chasing.” Damon looks concerned at the temple and looks back at them “This doesn’t look like you chasing him, more like him chasing you…”
Adaly chuckles “Same difference. The devil at work here is called Es-Vahelieth, he is destroyed for now, but as you know high level devils can regenerate. The temple comes originally from Setia, hence the dragonborn priest you will find in there.”
Amara also comes close and grabs the sword out of the bag of holding “He left this behind, might be cool for your paladin order to have” Damon nods in thanks and takes the giant sword. “Thank you, my paladins have this investigation, let us go to the order and we continue our conversation there” The party nods and follows him.
Once in Damon’s office he starts explaining “So we still had a conversation with the king and he will reward you for the help with the warlock, but we do ask you to not ask publically about it. It looks better if the king rewards helpful adventures, rather than hiring mercenaries.” Amara wants to protest, but Adaly nods in agreement “That sounds acceptable.”
Adaly kindly smiles before Damon changes the subject “Also we started arranging Jack the Wizard’s funeral, sadly we do not have a body, but we shall have a small ceremony on the 27th at night”. Adaly nods in thanks “We will try to join, thank you Damon, and good luck”. Shortly after the party take their leave. They teleport to the cabin.
Adaly looks around and is a bit sad to see Sam already went to sleep, Heskeni is excited to see the party though and starts ranting a bit about her day, while the rest starts setting up for sleeping. Adaly goes into a foetus position trying to hide a bit that she is crying. Before sleep finds her.
The next morning Adaly just surrounds herself with the wyverns not wanting to deal with anybody, just keeping a bit her distance. Once she has a bit of a better grip on her emotions she walks back to the camp, where she can hear Livia and Jeremy bringing Sam up to speed.
Amara sits near but looks a bit distracted. “Heskeni could you go and hunt for us? Find a few rabbits” Adaly asks, and Heskeni excitedly rushes out in the woods before Adaly joins the conversation.
“So, now we have the kingdom of Escia at least on our side for Es-Grenalieth and Es-Vahelieth is no more. That sounds like a productive day” Sam comments and Adaly nods in agreement. “Yes we do have to see if we can join the attack on the mansion, but Jeremy I think you can keep the conversations going right? Give us updates if something changes” Jeremy nods in agreement.
“Of course, also if Guillemina comes back to me with information I will let you know.” He answers and Adaly kindly smiles at him. “Great than shall we go? We still need to fly a bit before we can reach the orc village.”
Amara steps forward “Before we go I probably should tell you, I had a extremely vivid dream last night. I was dreaming I was fighting a group of demons while wearing a thick green armor, and using an unusual large axe…” Adaly looks surprised at her friend “Do you know what that means?” Amara shakes her head, but at that moment Heskeni walks back into camp with a few destroyed rabbits, so the conversation is paused until a next time.
Amara and Adaly salvage what is possible from the rabbits and the party still has a nice breakfast at the cabin before getting back to their mission. Back to the orc camp for their vision quest.
