“I need to talk to you” Amara immediately says, and they walk to an inn “In private” she adds and stares at the paladins who take a step back “Sure… is everything okay?” Adaly asks concerned while rushing behind Amara and paying the inn keeper to get one room.

Amara sighs but keeps quiet until they are in the room. Amara goes to sit on the bed, but Adaly just looks at her friend with concern and keeps standing “What happened?” she asks. Amara rubs her head “Let’s start with the most recent and later get to the thing that got me shaken up. I had another dream last night about the thief. He was speaking with the one who lost an eye and was talking about you. The one with only one eye called the thief Imrior.”

Adaly swallows “A bit on the nose, his name means emerald…. The other guys name is Valziar, just for your information.” Amara rolls her eyes “Sure… Valziar was asking Imrior if he plans on recruiting you, but Imrior thinks that is not smart, so he probably will just try to kill you.” Adaly chuckles “He can join the line… but that is slightly concerning. The ebony guard has so far not tried to kill us, if that changes, we need to be on guard” Amara nods in agreement.

Amara stands up “Now after the soulsight vision Uladrem send me another vision… a vision of my mother’s death. I was a baby held by an orcish woman, and the devil I earlier saw was in the vision. He told the orcish woman ‘No one denies Ilhoketh what he was promised’ and picked me/the baby up. While my perspective started turning, I saw my mother laying in the grass, dead with an axe in her back… The same axe as the thief… Imrior, has been using. The devil commanded another fella to kill her, and he grabbed the axe and killed the orcish woman.”

Adaly lays a hand on her friend’s shoulder. A bit lost for words but tries to give her some strength “I… it is his M.O., Ilhoketh’s I mean… I am sorry you had to see that.” Amara looks a bit confused at her, and Adaly sighs goes to sit on the bed “My father… he likes creating black tieflings… and he thinks he owns them. It is why he is so annoyed with me, I am possibly the only one who ever got away. I know sometimes woman change their minds, but he tends to just kill them. Kill anybody helping them… I am sorry that your mother died because of that” Adaly feels a guilt running over her. Her escape probably made them more violent to the younger children’s mothers, she might be to blame for Amara’s mothers’ death…

“But at least now I got a good look of my mother’s killer, the tiefling who killed the orc, the one Uladrem connected me with.” Amara says and Adaly swallows “I think Uladrem connected you to the child, not your mother’s killer… But seeing he is carrying the same axe, maybe he killed your mother’s killer…” Amara goes to sit next to her “What makes you think that?” “Well, your other visions always have been from the thief’s/imrior’s perspective, right?” Amara nods so Adaly continues “Your perspective this time was from the baby… but this is something we will easily see when we meet him… if his horns are longer than mine, he is your mother’s killer, if they are shorter, he is the child she died protecting. How do you feel about that?”

Amara takes a second to think about that “It doesn’t change anything. It is Ilhoketh’s fault she died, and Imrior is working for him, so he needs to die.” Adaly nods in understanding and the friends just sit on the bed for a while thinking about the implications.

“So how was your day?” Amara asks interrupting the silence, Adaly chuckles “So Sam and I fucked” “What????” Amara almost yells in surprise and starts laughing “Yeah… I don’t know what I was thinking.” Adaly says once more happy her cheeks don’t betray that she is blushing.

Amara looks her over “Oh this is big… you know that from now on you and Sam need to sleep together, no more roomies for us.” Adaly rolls her eyes “Sure” “Don’t sure me, this is big. What does this mean?” Amara reacts. Adaly sighs “I don’t know. I had a moment of weakness, he is cute, we haven’t really talked about it” she puts her head in her hands, she really doesn’t want to deal with this.

“Fine I will stop now” Amara chuckles and Adaly smiles at her friend “Thank you… now we should tell the paladins about the ebony guard gaining a new member and their ambitions to kill us, for the rest I think it is better if we keep it between us. Shall I spy on them for a second to see if they are ready to come up?” Adaly asks and Amara wickedly smiles back.

Adaly connects to Livia. “But you should talk about it… this is massive Sam” the connection entering mid sentence of Livia. “We will figure it in our own way Livia. You know I am not much of a talker, neither is she, but we are grown ups.” “But…” Livia starts but Sam just gives her a look and she shuts up. Adaly disconnects “You can get them, I will continue to spy.” Amara nods and Adaly tries to connect to Es-Grenalieth or any of her siblings, but fails.

Only connection she can make is with Arav. The mercenary being in a fancy room across from him is a lady fancily dressed, clearly a noblewoman.

“They have replaced the bribable staff, it is really hard to figure out who is on the list or to get to Perenelle. I’m sorry my lady, I am not sure if they know about your children’s involvement.” Arav says while the lady impatiently taps the desk “Disappointing. I had expected more of you Arav… then go take a look at the mist barrier, maybe there is another way to protect my children. A back entrance, a way of sneaking them out when the fighting starts.”

He nods and starts exiting, Adaly recognizes him walking through the richer part of Ingry before the spell ends.

Now in the room with her are the paladins and Amara, Amara finishes catching them up before Adaly stands up. Amara wickedly smiles “Do you guys need a bit more privacy?” Adaly rolls her eyes, Livia chuckles and Sam looks at her “You told her?” “Of course, and you clearly told her” Adaly points to Livia. Sam nods before Amara continues “Oh come on Sam, what happened to your oath? Adaly is clearly infernal, or do you like it edgy?” “Can we go now?” Adaly raises her voice a bit and Amara just laughs but they leave the inn, collecting the wyverns to go find an ally in the middle of nowhere.
