In the camp Adaly starts setting up her ritual to contact her father. Livia seems to recognize the spell and looks a bit surprised. Once the spell takes affect, Adaly appears back in the black ocean and she jumps into the darkness.

Once more surrounded by the dark storm floating, she first focuses on her questions for Amara “How old is Imrior?” almost an instant reaction 21. So he indeed was de baby of Amara’s vision, so she shifts to the next question “Who is the butcher of Imriors mother?” EMRAHEDAN comes back. Adaly swallows “Is Emrahedan dead or alive?” DEAD.

Okay good now she can focus on the angel business. “Do you have an angel as your prisoner?” This time there is hesitation but still answer comes YES. Good that means she is not dead yet. “When are you going to sacrifice her?” 11th OF COLDNIGHT and the spell ends.

Adaly comes to and Livia is staring at her. Adaly politely smiles and looks at the party “So good and bad news…. Good news first, she is still alive and will be when we arrive at the Citadel… Bad news, he intends on sacrificing her on the 11th.”

Livia is thinking about that while Adaly quietly sends a message to Amara ‘Imrior was the baby… Your mother was killed by Emrahedan, who is dead’ Amara nods in understanding and replies ‘Thank you… but this doesn’t change anything, he needs to die.’

“Is she okay? Did she fall?” Livia asks almost in a whisper. Adaly rubs the back of her head, she didn’t even consider Ashe being a non-fallen angel, but that Livia fell of course doesn’t mean that Ashe also did. “I don’t know… I can check next time, sorry.”

They start making a watch schedule when Livia comments “I… I uh… don’t actually need sleep.” And Sam gives her a look immediately of shut the fuck up which makes Adaly chuckle. “So what have been doing these past weeks? Watching us sleep, that is creepy” Amara comments, which makes Adaly properly laughs “Regardless there are 4 other people here, lets still have as many eyes on the look out… I will take first, still need to create an amulet”

Adaly starts cleaning up her ritual stuff and pulls out the items for creating the last amulet. Livia comes sit next to her “Thank you… I appreciate you trying to not stick you nose in my business, even though you fail miserably at it.” Livia says with a smile, Adaly smiles back “Thank you for being such a good sport about it… I am happy that some trust is starting to get formed within the party”

Livia smiles back at her “Yes… you and Sam, who would have thought…. You never flirted with him” Adaly looks down, remembering their first kiss and he took initiative. She bites her lip “Because there was no point… he never would have believed my flirts, he… he is like me, paranoid about everything” Livia’s smile widens before leaving her alone to make the final amulet, for which Adaly to her surprise succeeds in.

Adaly goes to sleep after she wakes Sam for the next shift. Nothing eventful happens and the party continues flying towards Timbre. Amara also takes off the heartbeat sensor, when they arrive at Timbre in the afternoon. They walk up to the inn, which is empty except for one fella carving into the table, and the innkeeper.

While they walk towards the innkeeper the strange fella grabs a hold of Amara. He starts speaking in Abyssal “Death is a lie” Adaly goes closer to him and answers in abyssal “It’s okay, I am Adaly, who are you?” and the man just repeats the same phrase “Death is a lie…”.

The innkeeper comes closer and speaks in common “That is Jacob… he has been like this since he went to the vessel of Yemaya” Adaly knows that Yemaya is the elven god of the tides. “He is talking in riddles, do you know what happened to him?” the innkeeper gives them all some drinks “The blessing of Yemaya is only for the strong, but still we all feel the call to the beach. Anybody not worthy returns to us like Jacob and the others…”

“There are more like him?” Livia asks and the innkeeper answers “yes there are 2 upstairs, in worse shape than Jacob and half a dozen even worse at the church.”

Adaly looks Jacob over, trying to get an feeling about what is wrong with him. “Can we talk with the ones upstairs?” The innkeeper shakes their head “They are sleeping” Adaly nods in understanding. “I am hungry, could you provide some food while we wait?” Amara asks and the innkeeper excitedly rushes back and starts making them food.

“So what do you think?” Amara asks Adaly who keeps observing Jacob. “The leviathan is the vessel she is speaking about. He is speaking abyssal, saying ‘death is a lie’. This has nothing to do with the god, but lets just pretend it is for this ones sake.”

The innkeeper returns with soup, but Adaly is not hungry and hands her portion to Amara. “So when was your lands blessed with this vessel of Yemaya?” Adaly asks the innkeeper who looks suspiciously at her “A while back… they are making a temple there as well. Have you been?” “Not yet, but we would like to visit.” Adaly politely smiles and innkeeper looks even more intently at Adaly “You don’t look like a follower” Adaly chuckles “You heard me speak with Jacob right? I speak its language… But we would first like to get some more information, so we can properly show our respect to it”

The innkeeper seems to consider this. “It came out of the ocean, send to us by Yemaya showing their appreciation to us… Several people of our village have entered it and gotten its blessings. Some return like Jacob, not worthy.” Adaly looks the innkeeper over and something feels off “How many went and returned?” “Oh I don’t know specifics… few dozens went”

Amara and Adaly look at each other, it feels like the innkeeper is underselling how many went and that they are avoiding answering the question how many returned. Adaly smiles and sees the rest finished “I think we shall first go to the temple of Yemaya, showing our thanks and speaking to the people there, but afterwards I would love to speak with the once here” The innkeeper looks doubtful “If they are awake” and Adaly nods while they walk out.
