Stories of my brain

The door to the west suddenly opens and Gevaudan walks through slamming the door shut behind him. “Four demons are following me” he yells trying to keep the door shut. Adaly and Amara immediately spring to action moving towards him “Livia give us cover” Adaly says while they move as fast as they can towards Gevaudan.

Gevaudan quickly drinks a healing potion he still had on his person. One of the demons breaks through the door, causing Gevaudan to fall backwards. He barely manages to stay on the platform just in front of the door.

Amara quickly starts fighting the demon when they reach the platform and Adaly attaches the rope around Gevaudan, helping him onto the small beam towards the paladins. Amara quickly following.

The demons stop at the edge of the platform, growling at them but not following. The birds getting once more close to them. Adaly and Livia fighting them off until they get close to the platform and Sam also can help them. On the platform in the north, they take a small breather.

“Where did you go to?” Adaly asks, still fighting the birds, but while they are on the platform there is not a big risk. “To the room next to the stairs… I suspect the eating chamber also brought those there” Adaly nods in understanding before they enter the northern chamber.

In front of them is a large room with once more a Leviathan’s heart. Next to the heart are 6 glass spheres filled with orange liquid and some eyes floating in it. At the back of the room, they see a glass case with a crystal key.

They step in the room and one of the spheres says “KABOOM” and the sphere come towards the party. “Distract them” Adaly yells to the paladins and werewolf while Adaly and Amara rush towards the glass case. The paladins manage to destroy one of the creatures before it explodes, but the other go off one by one. Hitting them with an explosion and Adaly feels the paranoia in her head increasing once more.

Adaly tries to pick the lock of the box, but the mayhem is too much of a distracting. Adaly sees Sam being hit and suddenly his head becomes translucent, showing his skull. Amara starts bashing the box, but this is too much for the party.

“Retreat” Adaly manages to bring out before one of the bombs comes next to them “KABOOOOM” it yells before the flames engulf her body and she feels her brain shutting down.

She wakes up still in the same chambers but being carried by Amara. “We should jump into the black hole, not risk walking the beam and be ambushed by the demons.” Amara nods and they jump into the darkness one by one.

They slide past the Leviathan flesh, the blood burning and seeping into her skin. Adaly her psyche feeling overwhelmed turns her brain off once more.

She wakes in the empty room they saw earlier. “The demons are directly behind this door. I think we shouldn’t risk it, we should teleport to Witterheim” Amara says, “What about the wyverns?” Adaly asks concerned but Amara shakes her head “They will survive 2 more days on their own… we need to leave now, you, Gevaudan and Sam are in too bad of a shape.” Adaly looks at Sam who looks gross with his see-through head. It looks like some kind of rubber material instead of skin. She starts casting teleportation circle and they enter the halls in Witterheim.

The gnomes in the teleportation hall look at them surprised and judgmental. All of them are covered in Leviathan ichor, so Adaly can imagine their disgust. The party walks to the ocean and all quickly take an icy bath, making them all less gross. They start immediately start traveling back towards the Leviathan.

“Let’s set up camp here” Adaly says and they start setting up when Amara approaches her “Can we talk in private.” Adaly nods and they step a bit away from the rest of the party. “So Uladrem send me another vision… using the stuff from the visions I can get powers which according to the snake be able to enable us killing Imrior.”

“Sounds creepy, are you sure you want to do it?” Adaly asks while grabbing the materials, and Amara nods. Amara rubs the powder on her arm and start grunting. The powder flares up and seems to burn the flesh in the shape of a two headed snake.

“You okay?” Adaly asks and Amara nods “Yeah, but not sure what it does….” “Slap me” Amara chuckles “No, I will not risk that Adaly, we just should trust Uladrem…” Adaly rolls her eyes “Never been good at the trusting aspect of religion”

When back in camp they see Gevaudan carving an eye in a branch, clearly still a side-effect of the Leviathan. Amara goes to him and lays a hand on his shoulder, while Adaly looks around. Sam is still gross, that could be problematic for the auction they have to attend the day after tomorrow.

Adaly sits down and casts grabs the bloodvial of Josenno, connecting to the warlock. “Mateo how is it going?” Josenno says while he enters some kind of dungeon. 2 other warlocks are casting some kind of ritual in front of what looks like a portal, and another warlock keeping surveillance. He turns to Josenno “Hey… So, they are trying to break the protections, but it will take some time… What do you think is in it?” Josenno chuckles.

“Something Es-Grenalieth wants, so it must be important. But this is also our way out, this vault has 2 other exits, one to Grishbalan, one in Fomeria.” Josenno says and Mateo nods in agreement “Well the Isotian’s knew how to build protections… We shall continue but we need more time.” Josenno nods in agreement.

Josenno turns around and starts leaving but Mateo stops him “What about the attack?” Josenno looks back at the other warlock “We have enough force to push back if they attack, especially when she is back… The exit to Fomeria is a backup plan, but we are stronger than Ingry’s military, I doubt they will risk it.”

She comes back to her own body and sees Amara and Gevaudan went to sleep, Sam and Livia talking about something Adaly grabs her bedroll and goes to sleep as well. After his watch Sam joins Adaly in her bedroll, his warmth is nice.
