They continue walking through the leviathan and find a book that says ‘A rare magical item will be provided to whoever reads me. Muahaha’ Adaly laughs “So we are not doing that” and Amara joins in her laughing while they walk further. They find another door and hear hissing behind it, but choose to continue, the ladies starting to lose a bit of their power, so shouldn’t pick more fights. Finally at the end of the hall is a door which has 4 keyholes in it.
“Let’s go back” Amara suggest and Adaly and Livia nod while they walk back to the surface. Back towards the wyvern, towards the rest of their party.
Once the party is reunited they teleport to the cabin, and Heskeni immediately rushes towards Adaly. “So when are we going to the vault? I heard you wanted to go to the vault of the ninth pactkeeper, that is cool, that is part of the Isotian ruins I like investigating. So can we go… now” Heskeni rants, Adaly rubs her head.
“Wait what? Can you slow down a second, what is the vault of the ninth pactkeeper?” Adaly asks, Heskeni eagerly starts explaining “The pactkeepers were nine tiefling offspring of the ancient Isotian dwarves who made an agreement with an archdevil and then proceeded to kill that archdevil and seal its power in nine artifacts known as the Crests of the Pactkeepers. 8 are destroyed, but the final one is said to be sealed deep beneath the earth and is only accessible by the three magical doorways you described to Jeremy.”
“Okay, good to know, for now, look at Sam’s head.” Adaly says while thinking over what Heskeni has just shared. “Oehh, what happened? Can I touch it? Why is it rubbery?” Heskeni starts ranting towards Sam and Sam gives Adaly a look of annoyance which makes her chuckle.
Adaly and Amara step a bit aside and start preparing for the ritual “I will start sleeping in a bit, and then after the ritual when you go sleep, I will keep an eye on you so that if Imrior shows up we can plan a meetup. I don’t like that they have spoken with Ilhoketh.” Amara nods “Maybe we should leave a note, just in case he manages connect earlier” Adaly nods and quickly writes a note. ‘Fuck you Imrior, name a time and place and we’ll be there.’
Amara smiles and she goes to start the ritual. Once Amara is no longer conscience Adaly steps out and the rest of the party comes closer starting diner. Adaly takes out her notes from the bomb and gives Heskeni the notes. “So Heskeni we found some interesting Grishbalan runes, could you help us figure out what it exactly does?” Heskeni nods eagerly and tears the notes almost out of her hands. Adaly smiles and she steps away from the party. She starts taking care of the wyverns, keeping a bit of a distance.
The story that Livia told Adaly about Sam’s ex shook her more up than she expected. She looks at the man she cares about, he still looks gross, but she has more feelings for him than she expected.
He says something to his fellow paladins and stands up and looks at her with a smile. “So how are you doing?” Sam asks her and she sadly smiles back at him “Can we talk?” she asks and he nods, grabs her arm and they walk into the woods. The woods that are filled with memories, the place that she called home for the longest time.
“I still wanted to apologize” Sam starts, and Adaly looks surprised at him “Why? You have nothing to apologize for.” He looks down a bit “For hitting you… when the demon took over… I am not trying to hide behind it but just know I would never…” Adaly smiles at him “Oh don’t worry about that, it is fine.” She is slightly annoyed Gevaudan told him about it, but part of her is happy it is out.
Adaly looks down, she feels that she should break up with him. Not that they were together, but before things got too serious, she should end it.
She stops, looks at him and he casts a spell to look like himself again. She smiles at him before she leans against a tree. “So…. Livia told me that you loved someone before, but it didn’t end well. So, I thought maybe we need to talk…” she says sadly, and he looks at her and smiles. He comes close and touches her face “Ah talking everyone’s favorite thing. But yeah… I…. know it is fast, but I think I love you”.
