They arrive in the teleportation hall of Ingry at the eve of the 36th. Adaly rubs her head, shit she has to inform Damon to not kill her. “Um guys, I need a quick visit to Damon, Sam could you join me? We can meet the rest of you at the alchemist guild.” Amara nods, but Sam looks at her for a second before saying “If you are all okay with it, I would like the evening for us, we can meet the others in the morning at the inn”
Adaly looks surprised at him while he looks at Livia’s whose smile widens. Adaly looks at Amara who just shrugs “Sure, if you guys are okay with it… Sam do realize I am still upset with you, but if Amara is okay with it, sure” Amara just nods in agreement.
Adaly grabs her sending stone with Sam “Amara then maybe it is better if you have my sending stone with Sam, seeing as we are splitting up.” Sam intervenes before Adaly can hand it to Amara and says “Also if you are okay with it, I would like Livia to have it.” Adaly narrows her eyes at Sam, not understanding but just nods and gives it to Livia who looks way to happy at her.
“Sure, not sure what you think is going to happen Livia… but fine, let’s go” Adaly says while starting to walk towards the paladin order.
Sam follows, not saying anything, but he is clearly up to something. They enter the building and are directed towards Damon’s office. Adaly takes a deep breath and knocks on the door. “Come on in” Damon says and Adaly enters, Sam in tow.
“Adaly… good to see you Sam” Damon says, realizing that Adaly is at least not being mind controlled at this moment. “I just wanted to let you know that some of us will be joining the meeting tomorrow, and we will be in Ingry for the coming day. As you can see I am with Sam, so everything is okay for these days. My original request is on pause until we leave again. You know what you need to do if you see me alone after these 2 days” Adaly says, while Sam looks at her in surprise.
“Thank you for letting me know, I will make sure nobody will bother you the coming day… Does he know?” Damon asks while with his eyes he points towards Sam. Adaly wants to react, but Sam beats her to it “What did you asks of him?” Adaly rolls her eyes “I told Damon to kill me on sight if I return alone. Now he knows” Adaly leans against the wall observing Sam’s reaction.
Sam’s eyes widen, he looks at Damon “Don’t kill her…” Adaly puts a hand on Sam’s shoulder “Sam… if I return alone it means my father won… it is better they are prepared.” Sam looks back at her, clearly in doubt but nods in understanding “I don’t think that is enough reason to kill you” Sam reacts.
Adaly chuckles “If I return here after my father won, alone… I am here to kill the king, of course Damon should intervene.” Damon nods in agreement “I don’t like it, but I trust you, Adaly, know what you are talking about, so I will do as agreed.” Adaly kindly smiles towards Damon “Thank you, now we shall get out of your hair. Maybe we shall meet tomorrow, we have not decided yet who will join Jeremy.” Damon nods in understanding “They will meet at the teleportation hall at 3.” Adaly smiles.
They leave the building and Adaly starts attuning to the Ioun stone of warmth. Meanwhile she looks at Sam, who clearly is still processing what she just told him. “So… Where to next?” Adaly asks and Sam snaps out of his thought and smiles brightly at her. “First a bit of a stroll through town. Livia requires a bit longer.” He extends his arm, and Adaly takes it. Curious where the night will take them.
While they are walking through the streets Adaly asks “What is the plan?” Sam blushes a bit and says “Well our first night together was very loaded, so I would like a do over… our confession of feelings was over shadowed by the mourning of Jack the Wizard and other emotions. So I would like to have an evening purely dedicated to us. Same city, same locations, just less other emotions intervening”
ADaly sadly smiles towards him “There are still other emotions, I am mad at you…” Sam kindly smiles back “But that is an emotion about us, that is something we can deal with. I just… hope that we can talk it out.” They walk a bit further before Sam smiles and says “Now we can go to our destination… please follow me, my lady” Adaly chuckles, she feels like a teenager interested in what the evening brings.
They walk towards the safe house of the shadowed blade. They pass Livia, who is giggling like a little girl. “Now close your eyes” Sam says when they reach the door of the safe house. “Never” Adaly winks. Sam chuckles “Fair. Now I have not been in myself either, so this is as much as a surprise for me as for you” and he opens the door.
The empty space now has a table for 2. The whole space is dimly lit by a few dozen candles, beautiful flowers decorate the table. 2 plates are filled with basic food, but the vibe is very romantic.
Adaly partially looks in awe, partially starts to chuckle. “I thought you hated small talk. You do realize with this kind of a date we are bound to small talk” she walks in and really takes in the effort Livia did for them in that short time period. Sam chuckles as well. “I know, but you deserve this… You have had a rough life, now let’s just have the most normal date possible. I would like to ask you to change into less comfortable clothes and I will do the same. I was thinking maybe the auction clothing?” Adaly smiles and immediately goes into the bag of holding and throws him his clothes, while she enters a nearby chamber and puts on the gorgeous blue dress.
She had hoped that she would get another occasion to wear it. She was very happy how it looked on her. She takes a deep breath and prepares herself for a date with the man she loves before returning into the chamber.
