The party decides to show Jeremy the heroes’ feast, however the owner stops them. “We will behave, plus we wanted to show the place to the according to your paintings actual hero of Ingry.” Adaly points to Jeremy. The owner still looks doubtful. “I can even dress skimpy to match the painting more, and we shall pay for ourselves of course.” Adaly says in her most seductive voice.
The owner nods in agreement, Adaly going into the back to change into her gorgeous blue dress, reentering the tavern, making almost all man turn towards her. Adaly casts minor illusion above Jeremy’s head saying ‘The savior of Ingry’ in bright neon colors.
“So, what do you think darling?” Adaly asks Jeremy, distracting him, so that he doesn’t notice. “It… It is something. It is nice to have such a big, heroic mural of yourself” Jeremy jokes a bit insecurely.
Drinks are provided and Adaly slowly drinks, while Jeremy is mainly just looking around. Adaly’s minor illusion does draw the attention of some of the patrons. “Why are you making fun of the heroes?” “Yeah, you guys should leave” 2 thugs say while approaching. Adaly stands up seductively “Darlings don’t you recognize us? We are the heroes”
One of the thugs starts laughing, and Amara stands up looking intimidating. The thugs take a step back and the owner steps closer, annoyed. “What is going on?” he asks and the thugs immediately start ranting “They are insulting the heroes of Ingry. That one keeps casting…” Adaly steps closer to the owner “These gentlemen don’t know when they are looking at true heroes…. Now we don’t want to cause a problem, but my dear sir we did kill a devil in your establishment, and are working with the king” Adaly gets really close to his face and whispers in his ear “Now these thugs and you are no match… We just want to enjoy our dinner in quiet. Can you do that or are we going to have a problem?” Adaly threatens the tavern keeper. He takes a step back, looks terrified at her. “Of course, my lady. These are indeed the heroes of Ingry, food and drinks are on us of course.”
Adaly smiles and goes to sit back with the rest “Intimidating is fun” she jokes towards Amara who gives her a nod of approval.
After they finish dinner Adaly is just staring at the paladins, seeing their comradery, it gives her joy. She loves Sam and she is happy to see him enjoying himself with his palls. Also, Amara and Gevaudan talk about past battles, she is happy her friend has good connections. Both Amara and Sam need these people to help them through what is to come. Her death will be hard for them.
“So, are we ready to go back to the inn?” Sam asks, smiling at her. “Actually, I would like to talk to Arav before we go. Amara could you join me?” Amara nods and Adaly grabs the bloodvial of Arav and lets it guide her to the thief.
They enter a shady looking tavern, where people are playing a card game. They see Arav playing a game. He looks up at them in surprise, nods in acknowledgement, and signals he will join them in a second. The other patrons stare at them as well, Adaly still in her blue dress, very overpriced for the location they are in. Not that anybody would dare touch her with Amara next to her. Not that anybody would be able to touch her, not here.
After a good 5 minutes, Arav wins and joins them. Adaly points to the door indication they should take a walk. Arav walks out, and Adaly and Amara join him closely. “So, what can I do for you? I expected our business to have been finished.” Arav asks while they walk through the shady backstreets of Ingry.
Adaly smiles towards him “Just one last thing… A few days ago, you were attacked in the middle of the night by a hooded figure, who thanked you for your cooperation. I would like you to tell me everything you know about this person.” Adaly looks around, she can see she draws a lot of attention in her outfit, but she doesn’t care.
Arav rubs his neck “Well it sounds like you already know about it…” They walk into an alleyway, Adaly leans against the wall, just giving him a look that she is waiting for a proper answer. “Well, I don’t know what to tell you. It was a creature and it was asking what was happening in the Avario manor and asking about your involvement.”
Adaly swallows “What did you tell them?” “The fucking truth. That thing was nasty, had some mean ways of torture” Arav says harshly. Adaly considers this “You are saying creature, what did they look like?” Arav swallows, clearly nervous. “It was humanoid, but not any species I know… It was completely white, except for its left leg. It was like a human leg.”
Adaly steps forward, rubs her head, and looks at Amara “Okay good news, it was not my fault my father knew some things, this fucker is the cause. Bad news, my auntie is also involved, that was one of her minions.”
Arav looks at her with his eyes wide “You know these things?” Adaly chuckles “Never encountered one directly, but I know stories about them. You are lucky, they are very nasty beings.” He takes a few steps back “Now can you and your family leave me alone.” Adaly chuckles once more “Sure, I will leave you alone, but for the rest of my family, I cannot make any guarantees. We are not really on speaking terms.”
“Good enough for me” Arav says and starts leaving. Adaly leans against the wall again and considers what Arav just told them. If Es-Ihiroketh is involved…. The pearl is even more of a risk.
