Adaly lowers her body into warm water. The warm water comfortable, especially after the afternoon she had she happily reminisces. She lowers herself also with her head under the water, trying to shake the feeling out. They have a mission that needs their focus.
She starts properly cleaning herself, she knows that she is not going to look like a noble born, she has too many calluses for that. However, she can make herself married to a noble. She cleans her body, nails, and of course her horns. It takes some time, and the other patrons at the bathhouse give her a few disapproving looks, but in the end, she looks properly clean.
After her bath she goes to apply make-up, especially covering up the marking of the Leviathan, but also adding some golden eye liner, making her eyes pop. She puts on her gorgeous royal blue dress. A scandalous low V-neck, backless dress, that look will definitely make her noticeable.
She adds a lot of golden jewelry, even a bit of gold on the tips of her horns. She looks pleased in the mirror, she looks hot. She puts her fancy cloak on and goes back towards the inn. That is probably where the party will be, seeing as nobody joined her in the bathhouse.
Adaly walks towards the room she and Sam spend their afternoon, but on the hallway gets stopped by Amara “Nononono, we are not in that room, but over here” Adaly rolls her eyes “Why did you rent a second room?” “I don’t want to go into that room, you know why” Amara chuckles and Adaly sighs “You do realize this is an inn, nothing that happened in there didn’t happen in every single one of these rooms” “Yeah but not as recent” Amara jokes before they reach the other chamber.
Adaly takes off her cloak before entering and Sam looks at her very pleased, his eyes wide, he swallows before mouthing ‘you look hot’ and she winks and mouths back ‘I know’. Adaly looks further across the room, and Jeremy also gives her an approving nod, and she also winks at him, which results in him rolling his eyes.
“Let’s start planning” Adaly says and they start preparing for their heist. They will travel back to Suzal this evening, hand Jeremy the ring and he goes to collect sinpiercer. They will meet him on the 35th to collect it from him.
Amara and Sam still get properly dressed before the three of them go to the auction. Adaly puts her arm through Sam’s, both of them keeping their heads high, while being followed by Amara. Adaly felt a bit naked without her bag of holding but seeing the amount of illegal stuff she had in there, it was better to stay behind with Livia.
They hand in the few not approved items on their person before walking into the auction hall. Immediately they are approached with a glass of champagne that Sam and Adaly take, Amara refusing, looking on duty.
The room is already quite full, Adaly recognizes Vivianna, but next to her she doesn’t know anybody. There is a group of dwarves, an elderly human lady, a dark-haired elven man, a red tiefling, and of course the legendary captain Alaric Marlowe.
Adaly and Sam walk to a quiet corner “Sit dear, I will make a round, you just relax” Adaly says and while she turns around Vivianna is already walking towards them. Adaly makes her biggest smile “Vivianna, so good to see you. How have you been?” Adaly says and gives the human woman a kiss on the cheek.
Vivianna looks her over and narrows her eyes “I’m fine… You are Oscar’s mongrel, aren’t you?” Adaly chuckles and pushes Vivianna towards Sam “His ex, yes. My name is Sirrelieth and I would love to introduce you to my husband, Octavius Belstrad, baron of Asmoria. Octavius, darling, this is Vivianna Issandra, the like millionth daughter of Duchess Issandra, also from Fomeria. You remember them of course.”
Sam stands up and shakes Vivianna’s hand “Of course, nice to make you acquaintance. How are you?” Vivianna chuckles “Oh I am good, you do realize your wife is a gold digger?” Adaly and Sam both chuckles “Of course he does, darling. He spoils me well” Adaly says while laying a loving hand on his shoulder.
Vivianna rolls her eyes and steps away, Sam goes to sit again and Adaly starts mingling with the other patrons, specifically hitting it off with the captain. He seems to like her advances and if it wasn’t for Sam, Adaly would have seduced him. She also connects well with the dwarves, them being academia and she has much knowledge of the arcane thanks to Oscar. When it is time for the auction she eagerly starts bidding.
