“It is not safe for you out there now, can’t you understand we are actually trying to protect you?” Adaly says angrily while she retightens the rope around her sister “I think I will be just fine if you give me my Ioun stone back.” “If he sees you, he will kill you. The ebony guard might already be fucked, but we can keep you safe.” Adaly yells, but Yigadel seems not impressed.
“Why is he here? Do you think he will follow us in?” Amara asks Livia “I… I told Adaly he is searching for me, when I almost died, I must have let out a beacon of some kind…. For him following us, I don’t know… he…. He is very determined.” Sam stands defensively near the door, Adaly is not sure if he is standing there to keep Yigadel in, or Vale out.
Adaly goes to search her sister, grabbing the weaponry and her bag of holding, they feel the Leviathan shaking. Yigadel still trying to get out of her bounds when Amara says with a commanding “Seriously, do you want to take your chances with us, or with an angel?” Yigadel looks Amara over “Neither. Now just give me back my stuff” Adaly rubs her head doubting how to deal with the situation.
She sends a message to Livia ‘How do you want to deal with her? Should we kill her? There is a chance she connected the dots.’ Livia looks at her concerned ‘I don’t know… her knowing is bad…’ Adaly rolls her eyes, annoyed that the angel doesn’t want to make a tough decision.
Adaly rather not kill Yigadel, from the ebony guard Yigadel felt the most akin. The Leviathan starts shaking, Vale clearly attacking it. Livia seems doubtful when Adaly decides to ask Sam the same question, and he messages back ‘We can imprison her. We have some allies in Loutiers that could help’ Adaly nods, that seems viable.
The Leviathan’s eyes suddenly appear in the room with them, staring at them. Adaly feels the demon’s corruption and grabs her ink to cast teleportation circle. “We shall go to Loutiers, we can keep you save there.” Adaly says absent mindedly, feeling the corruption, feeling the doubt.
Once in Loutiers they walk down the dwarven ruins once more. Sam asks, “Please wait here” at the entrance, but Adaly shakes her head “I need to go with you, I want to know they will take proper care of her.” Sam rubs his head, clearly disagreeing in spirit but nods in agreement.
They blindfold Yigadel before continuing to walk through the caves “I am truly sorry Yigadel, but I am trying to protect you…” Adaly says, while Yigadel sighs “Sure and I am a unicorn.” Adaly swallows, but before she can react, they reach a space with 2 unknown paladins to Adaly.
“We would need you to keep her here for a month.” Sam starts explaining to the paladins while Adaly steps aside with Yigadel, removing her blindfold, leading her towards a cell. “I… I named myself alone because I always knew I was weird, and I also knew that I had many siblings, but would never be like them… I would have listened to Tafrica a few years ago, but now… It is too late for me…. I don’t feel alone or weird anymore though, you remind me of myself Yigadel. I need you to survive this.” Adaly whispers while untying Yigadel in the cell.
Yigadel narrows her eyes, clearly not trusting what Adaly says. Adaly steps out of the cell, locking it “I know this will be easy for you to escape, but please stay.” Adaly says and Yigadel doesn’t reply, just observes.
The two paladins look slightly offended towards Adaly, “You take care of her, she is my sister.” Adaly says towards them, and they look back towards Sam who nods before they reply, “Of course my lady, she will stay safe here.” Adaly kindly smiles back at them “Thank you” before Adaly and Sam leave, going back towards their party. Back to the mission.
